Welcome to Liz Zelvin's Author Page In Death Will Get You Sober, Bruce wakes up in detox on the Bowery and realizes it’s time to change his life. How? Don’t drink, go to meetings…and investigate a murder. Investigating the death of a detox buddy, he reconnects with two old friends, computer genius Jimmy and world-class codependent Barbara. In the end, they find the murderer, and Bruce recovers his future. In Death Will Help You Leave Him, when a friend becomes prime suspect in the death of her abusive boyfriend, Bruce has to juggle the investigation, his sobriety, a crush on the bereaved girlfriend, and the lure of his destructive but compelling ex-wife. Barbara and Jimmy are again on hand to help. Death Will Get You Sober was nominated for Deadly Ink’s David award and Killer Nashville’s Silver Falchion award. The book’s cover design was nominated for an Anthony award. Liz's publication credits include two books of poetry, a book on gender and addictions, and many professional articles.
