Terry Hoover is the author of Double Dead, the first in a projected Southern mystery series featuring Steve Harlan, a private investigator with an attitude and a family to feed, dubbed by one reader, “the Archie Goodwin of the suburbs.”   Hoover, a Malice Domestic grant winner, has been writing for local, regional and national publications and corporate clients for 20 years. She is the current president of the Guppies and the Tarheel Gumshoes, her local Sisters in Crime chapter. Double Dead was a finalist in the Malice Domestic St. Martin’s Press contest for Best First Traditional Mystery.  Hoover is a native of Charlotte, NC, where Double Dead is set.  She now lives just outside the city, with her husband, a public relations consultant.
