Peggy Ehrhart is a former English professor who lives in Leonia, New Jersey, where she writes mysteries and plays blues guitar. She’s been a member of Sisters in Crime since 1990, and she’s been a Guppy for 10 years. She holds a doctorate in Medieval Literature, and her publications include a prize-winning nonfiction book.
She has also won awards for her fiction, including first prize in the FMAM 2005 Flash Fiction contest. Her stories have appeared in FMAM, Crime and Suspense, Flashing in the Gutters, Spinetingler, Crime Scene: New Jersey 2, Murder New York Style, and several other venues. As a guitar player, she has performed with numerous bands in the New York City area.
Her blues mystery, Sweet Man Is Gone, was published by Five Star/Gale/Cengage in 2008. It was inspired by her adventures with her own band. The sequel, Got No Friend Anyhow, appeared in 2011. Peggy’s story, “Something Fishy,” is included in the Guppy short-story anthology, Fish Tales (2011).
