Welcome to Sheila Connolly's Author Page After collecting too many degrees and exploring careers ranging from art historian to investment banker to professional genealogist, Sheila Connolly began writing in 2001, and has written both traditional mysteries and suspense. She recently signed a contract for a new Glassblower Mystery series to be published by Berkley Prime Crime, under the name Sarah Atwell. The first book, Fatal Gather, set in Tucson, Arizona, will appear in June 2008. Ms. Connolly is a member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, Romance Writers of America, the New England Chapter of RWA, and the online RWA mystery/suspense chapter Kiss of Death, as well as (of course) the Guppies . Her romantic suspense Warning Out won first place in the 2004 Writers Weekend contest, and her traditional mystery Rundale, set in Ireland, was a finalist in the 2005 RWA Daphne du Maurier Contest. Ms. Connolly's past publications include Eucharistic Vessels of the Middle Ages, "The Cloister Sculpture of Saint Aubin in Angers" in Gesta, and a lot of grant proposals that were definitely creative. She lives in a too-big Victorian in southeastern Massachusetts with her husband and three cats, and expects her poet-daughter to move in and mooch as soon as she graduates from college with a degree in comparative literature. |
