Welcome to Pat Brown's Author Page

P.A. Brown is the author of 2 mystery series. The L.A. stories feature
LAPD homicide detective David Eric Laine and his lover, network
engineer Christopher Bellamere. The first book in that series, L.A.
Heat has been followed by 2 more, with another 2 slated for
publication in 2010. The Geography series with Santa Barbara Detective
Alexander Spider and his lover Jason Zachary has one book in print,
Geography of Murder, with the second, Forest of Corpses due out
sometime in 2010. Other publications include Memory of Darkness and
the upcoming Between Darkness and Light.

Currently living in Canada, P.A. spent 8 years in Los Angeles, 2 years
in Hawaii and 2 years in Bermuda. Until recently sidelined by illness,
she was a network engineer for a law firm in Bermuda. She favors dark
mysteries, with Michael Connelly being her ultimate idol. When not
writing she loves to cook and travel, preferably to warm places
anytime after November. Her dream is to someday return to L.A. to
inspire more fiction and pursue her dark muse.

She is currently working on both the sequel to Geography of Murder and
a book tentatively titled barrio boyz about a young Latino man caught
in a war between the gang that wants to either jump him in or kill
him, and the LAPD patrol officer whose interests go beyond protecting
and serving. It is her most ambitious project to date.
